ASTROLOGY 101

This module is designed for those who are interested in exploring the true nature of astrology. It is ideal for those who have little or no knowledge of astrology as well as those who wish to consolidate and deepen their existing knowledge.
This module forms the foundation unit in a Certificate Course based on the Astrology Certificate Syllabus recognised by the Astrological Guild of Educators International.
UNIT CONTENT
• History of Astrology
• Mythology of the Zodiac Signs
• Elements and Modalities
• Calculation of the Ascendant and the houses
• Meaning of the Cross of Matter and the twelve houses
• The Sun and Rulership
In this module you are introduced to the history of astrology and basic astronomy. The Unit covers the calculation of a natal chart and basic concepts such as diurnal motion, sidereal and solar time, longitude and latitude.
The elements and modalities, and their application in understanding the zodiac signs are covered together with the meanings of the individual houses. Astrology 101 will also cover the use of essential dignities as well as mythology and its application to the meaning of the Sun and what it represents in a natal chart.
OUTCOMES
By the end of the module you will be able to:
1. Calculate the Ascendant, angles and house cusps for any give set of birth data.
2. Identify signs by element and modality.
3. Delineate the Cross of Matter and the twelve houses.
4. Delineate the Sun by sign and rulership.
5. Relate the relevant myth to the interpretation of the Sun.
The cost of the module is $1095 for 16 weeks and includes a one-day workshop. This can be paid in three installments during the module. The initial payment is $495 with the balance owing divided into two separate payments: one after five weeks of the commencement of the module and the other after 10 weeks of the commencement of the module.
Alternatively you may pay the full amount before the module begins at the discounted amount of $995.
